Last year I was talking to my niece Kara about the Super Bowl, and suddenly I felt a heavy dose of food blogger guilt. You see, watching football is most definitely not my thing, and I realize there's not a lot of football-watching food on my site. But Kara had the great idea of helping out Kalyn's Kitchen readers by putting together a round-up of Low-Carb and Gluten-Free Super Bowl Appetizer Recipes, and I thought that sounded like a good plan!
I started with a list of the kinds of things people might like to eat at a Super Bowl party, but once I decided all recipes had to be both low-carb and gluten-free I took chili and dishes with low-carb tortillas off the list. Then I removed lettuce wraps, because they're so popular they have an entire round-up post of their own.
What I ended up with was a pretty big collection of Super Bowl-friendly finger foods, including cold nibbles and bites, warm nibbles and bites, meatballs, foods on a stick, and dips. And when I realized I had more than 50 recipes, I told myself to stop. But I couldn't resist making the title say 50+, just so I can add more good things and for Super Bowl 2017 this post has been updated with even more delicious ideas for Super Bowl Food!!
