Every Friday we spotlight low-carb recipes you might want to try and this week we're recommending family-friendly low-carb soups to serve on Halloween before the trick-or-treaters get started!
Halloween will be here soon; I'm sure everyone realizes that! This week on Kalyn's Kitchen we've had Low-Sugar Pumpkin Bars, Paleo Pumpkin Chili, and My Favorite Pumpkin Recipes, and I figured that's entirely enough pumpkin for one week, even if it is the week before Halloween, do you agree" So when I was thinking about what to feature for this week's Low-Carb Recipe Love on Friday, I decided that on one of the highest carb holidays of the whole year, it would be great if everyone in the family had some low-carb soup before they started in on the candy.
And one thing that makes soup so great for a family-friendly meal is that it can be made ahead and reheated when you really need to eat or need to get some food into the little ones. These Low-Carb Soup Recipes could easily be made over the weekend and reheated for Halloween night. And even kids who are looking forward to getting lots of candy can usually be coaxed into eating a few spoonfuls of soup.
And soup is such an easy dish to make low-carb that I found some great low-carb soup recipe round-ups on other blogs, so check after the photos to see those. Happy Halloween weekend everyone!
