Gosh, did it really take me until the later part of January 2016 to write this post" Seems it did! What can I say other than running a food blog gets busy!
I was super keen to write this though as 2015 was a great year in many ways. We launched this site for one!
15 September 2015 is when we officially launched this site with a gorgeous vegan chocolate cake recipe.
And I couldn’t be happier with how things are going.
Jaye and I started a new New Year’s Eve ritual where we sit down together and just reflect on what we’re grateful for that year. It’s great to do it with someone else because they can remind you of things you might forget! And then we set our goals for the following year, while being thankful for the year that’s just passed.
It’s great because sometimes you can feel as if you had a really bad year because of certain events that overshadow everything else. For us, we had a death in the family that hit us very hard.
But even when tragedy strikes, when you reflect on everything that you have to be grateful for, you usually end up being able to see things in a better light.
So I wanted to take a moment and reflect on some of the things we’re grateful for in 2015.

Launched in September 2015! Woohoo!
Our very first recipe that launched the site, our Vegan Chocolate Cake was named one of the top 75 vegan recipes in 2015 by Finding Vegan!
We had numerous food photos featured on Foodie sites like Foodgawker, Tastespotting, Healthy Aperture, Tasteologie and of course, Finding Vegan.
We released our product: 14-Day Raw-Food-Lovin’ Vegan Cleanse which is, you guessed it, a vegan cleanse program! Since I’m really not into ‘diet culture’ (more on this in a bit) this isn’t a program about eating 2 lettuce leaves and drinking some lemon water every day with a handful of ‘detox’ vitamins to ‘cleanse’ your body.
